Constance Wu and Anna Camp are the latest guest stars to appear on Season 3 of the CBS mystery series “Elsbeth,” starring Carrie Preston as de facto detective Elsbeth Tascione.
In the show, which is a spin-off of “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight,” Wu plays Dr. Mallory Ryan, a “wealth therapist” who helps the ultra-wealthy deal with the burdens of their privileged lives. According to CBS, “If Dr. Mull suspects that a patient is using Dr. Mull’s sessions to gather information for insider trading, he must terminate the relationship beyond the doctor-patient relationship.”
Camp plays Juliet Woodbent, a “trad wife” who prides herself on being able to do everything for her husband and six children, especially while being filmed by an up-and-coming documentary maker. According to the character’s description, “After failing in front of the cameras in the kitchen and potentially destroying her public persona, Juliet must do something fatal.”
“Elsbeth” Season 3 premiered on October 12th and ran until the new year. Most of the show functions as a “How Catch Me” mystery rather than a “hunt for the culprit.” That is, viewers usually know who the killer is at the beginning of each episode. The series premiered in February 2024, and the second season began just a few months after the first season aired. The series is known for its roster of guest stars, including Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Jane Krakowski, David Alan Grier, Mary-Louise Parker, and more.
Wu is best known for her role in Jon M. Chu’s blockbuster “Crazy Rich Asians” and most recently co-starred with Naomi Watts and Bill Murray in “The Friend.” Upcoming, she will appear in Mindy Kaling’s Hulu comedy “Unfit for Work” and Amazon’s “The Terminal List” Season 2. She is repped by Gersh, Principal, Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Culler, Gellman, Meigs, Fox.
Camp’s credits include Netflix’s “You,” where she played a twin, and Peacock’s supernatural thriller series “Hysteria.” She will next be seen in Paramount’s “Scream 7.” She is repped by Gersh, Authentic Talent, Schreck, Rose, Dapello, Adams, Berlin & Dunham.
