Elle Macpherson takes off her clothes in a new campaign, proving why she was nicknamed ‘The Body’ during her modeling days.
The 62-year-old Australian supermodel posed in her underwear for the clothing brand’s new campaign, the launch of Bases Flex underwear by Bonds, and the ‘Let’s Talk About Flex’ campaign, which celebrates how people show up as their ‘true selves’.
“My inner flex is doing what feels right for me,” she said of her partnership with the brand. “That cheeky, hard-working Australian attitude has been part of my career and life journey from the beginning, so donning knickers for this Bonds campaign really resonated with me and felt like something to really celebrate.”
Macpherson was all smiles as she posed in different styles and colors of underwear. In one photo, the supermodel sits on her lap wearing a yellow set with lace details, showing off her toned abs as her hair blows in the wind.
Another photo shows the star lying on her side with her head resting on her hands while wearing a red set and staring into the camera.
She also posed in several black options, showing off her toned physique in a two-piece set and a black one-piece as she posed with a big smile on her face.
The Australian brand posted a photo of Macpherson in the campaign on Instagram, and fans immediately flooded the comments section with compliments for Macpherson.
“The epitome of aging…well done🔥,” one fan wrote, while another added, “🔥62 and still stunningly beautiful.”
McPherson appeared on the Amanda Wakely: Style DNA podcast in February 2024 and talked about her beauty secrets, saying that outward beauty is determined by inner health, adding, “There are limits to how popular beauty can be.”
She revealed that ways to maintain inner health include reducing caffeine intake and changing eating habits, saying: “I’m cutting out coffee and eating earlier in the day, so I’m eating at 5 o’clock.”
The Friends actress previously talked about how the mind-body connection plays a huge role in staying healthy and looking youthful in a November 2023 conversation with Body + Soul.
“Wellness is physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, and it’s all integrated. That was the biggest revelation: You can’t compartmentalize them, they’re not separate,” she told the outlet. “When something is out of whack, it affects others too, so the secret to a happy and healthy life is to keep all these aspects in balance. It took me a long time to understand that.”
McPherson has previously said that quitting drinking in 2003 has affected her life in many ways, adding that it was only after she quit drinking that she realized that drinking was holding her back from reaching her full potential.
In an Instagram post shared in September 2023, McPherson reflected on her 20 years of sobriety and said, “It’s been a great day.”
“Everyone has their own journey and I don’t want to tell anyone what to do, but I know this is a decision I’ve never regretted,” she said.
“It took discipline and perseverance, but the bottom line is you can’t be good in life unless you’re good and well. Alcohol doesn’t support that. It’s very hard to know yourself when you’re numbing yourself.”
