Hulu has ordered a pilot for the drama “Durango,” written by Eliza Clarke.
The official logline for “Durango” reads, “Mikey is a ski-loving townie chasing the headlines. Bunny is a runaway while homeschooling as a greasy waitress. The two fall in love as they overcome an avalanche of bad decisions, chase their American dream, and run from the police, criminals, and Mikey’s wife.”
As exclusively reported by Variety, Durango has been in development at Hulu since April 2025, at which point it was described as “a Bonnie and Clyde for the TikTok generation” that examines “love, crime, domesticity, intrigue, and passion through the lens of two young rebels determined not to settle for the sorry existence life has given them.”
Eliza Clarke recently served as the creator and showrunner of Y: The Last Man, the television adaptation of the comic book series of the same name, which aired on FX in 2021 for one season before being canceled. Previously, she was a writer and producer on the first four seasons of “Animal Kingdom,” and her previous writing credits include season one of “Extant,” which aired on CBS in 2014, seasons two and three of “The Killing,” which aired on ABC from 2012-2013, and “The Killing,” which aired one season on AMC in 2010. Clark is also a playwright and has published plays through Samuel French.
“Durango” is produced by 20th Television and Media Res. Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer will executive produce on behalf of Media Res.
