Eli Roth’s next horror film, The Ice Cream Man, will be released in theaters during the summer dog season. It will be released at 2,000 venues in North America on August 7th.
The murder took place in an idyllic summer town where an ice cream man serves children from his truck, with horrific consequences. “The Ice Cream Man” stars Ari Millen (“Orphan Black”) as the sweet treat delivery man, and also stars Benjamin Byron Davis (“Guardians of the Galaxy 3”), Dylan Hawko (“Heartland”), Chiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Seltzer (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and Sarah Abbott (Netflix’s “The Body”). Karen Cliché, Shiloh O’Reilly, and Charlie Storey, who appeared in Roth’s previous film “Thanksgiving,” also appear in “Ice Cream Man.”
“Ice Cream Man” is Roth’s first film under the banner of the horror division since its creation in March 2025. A mainstay in horror, Roth is the director of such scary movies as “Cabin Fever,” “Hostel,” “The Green Inferno,” and “Knock Knock.” He also worked on the 2018 remake of Death Wish starring Bruce Willis and the PG family film The House With a Clock in Its Walls, starring Jack Black and Cate Blanchett.
Ross will also produce and co-write the screenplay for “Ice Cream Man” with longtime collaborator Noah Belson. Snoop Dogg will provide music for the film. Rap icon Nas will serve as executive producer through a new strategic partnership between The Horror Section and Mass Appeal.
In addition to “Ice Cream Man,” the horror section’s upcoming schedule includes “Don’t Enter That House, Bitch!” Starring Snoop Dogg.
