It’s definitely not a match made in heaven.
Two-time “Dancing with the Stars” champion Jenna Johnson has been having “really difficult times” working with her partner Corey Feldman this season.
“Obviously, Jenna has a slightly more difficult climb with Corey, which everyone can easily say from the outside, but I know she’s having a much more difficult time with all of this.
Cherkovsky, who won the Mirror Ball Trophy in Season 18 during his “DWTS” professional days, begged others to “respect” Johnson.
“You’re talking about the reigning champion, so please pay tribute to the name,” he said.
As for why Johnson (31) struggles with Feldman (54), Chemekovsky speculated not his age, but his lack of dancing ability and work ethic. He said the “Stand by Me” actor suffers from choreography and that the overall experience is out of his comfort zone.
“Remember, this production is not just a dance between you and your partner, but this huge, huge thing that’s going on. The amount of people you have to deal with, the amount of interviews, and this is all between your rehearsal time and your treatment, and you’re trying to lick your wounds and more,” he shared.
Still, he had faith in Johnson’s ability as a “tough coach.”
“That show requires you to be able to tell people who have grown up what to do,” he said. “So I think Jenna will do that.”
Johnson and her husband, fellow “dwts” Proval Cherkovsky, have been described as “disastrous” with partners this season, sources also told the outlet.
Val is paired with influencer Alixar.
“Val and Jenna are miserable, but they’ve been warned specifically by producers. “We don’t complain about celebrity participants,” the insider said.
Johnson and Val’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Page 6.
Johnson and Feldman scored a low tango score last week at the season premiere of “DWTS” and scored nine out of 20 from judges Derek Huff and Bruno Toniori.
Johnson – won the Mirror Ball Trophy with “Single” star Joey Graziaday last season – previously hinting at Feldman’s problem. Earlier this month, she admitted that she hadn’t seen him for a week since they were announced as partners.
“Many people wrote in their Instagram Stories on September 6th, September 6th, like, “Where is your Tiktok with Cory? What’s going on?” “To be totally honest, I haven’t actually seen him since ‘Good Morning America’. ”
