Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry wore matching dark outfits for a night out at Soho House in New York City. The Duchess of Sussex has worn back the Chanel tweed bandeau dress she was first photographed wearing in 2022. Meghan’s trip to New York comes on the heels of attending Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show.
Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry found time to enjoy a dinner date last night while on a trip to New York.
The couple went to Soho House and were photographed leaving in matching dark looks. Prince Harry wore a navy suit, while Meghan appeared in a gray Chanel tweed bandeau dress. According to fashion fan account What Meghan Wore, she previously wore the item in a 2022 profile for The Cut. People noted that Ed Sheeran was also spotted at a social club in New York, but it’s unclear whether he dined with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
On Thursday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended Project Healthy Minds’ annual gala, where they received the Humanitarian Award for their “extraordinary global efforts to build a safer and fairer digital world for families and young people, and their meaningful contribution to improving mental well-being around the world.”
In her acceptance speech, Meghan spoke passionately about her children. “Our children, Archie and Lilybet, are only six and four years old,” she said. “Can you believe it?”
“Fortunately, they’re still too young for social media, but we know that day will come. Like many parents, we’re always thinking about how to embrace the benefits of technology while protecting ourselves from its dangers. And that hopeful separation intention is rapidly becoming impossible.”
“We know that when parents come together and communities come together, it creates waves,” she added. “We’ve seen it happen. We’re watching it grow. And with your support, we’ll continue to build a safer digital world for all children.”
The couple’s trip to New York comes shortly after Meghan made headlines for attending Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show. Pierpaolo Piccioli, the house’s new creative director, told The Cut that Meghan personally asked for an invitation to make her debut.
“Meghan and I met a few years ago and have been emailing ever since,” he said. “She contacted me and said she would love to come to the show. There was no strategy or major coordination. I didn’t tell anyone she was coming because I wanted to keep it a surprise. True surprises are rare in fashion, but this one was beautiful.”
