What you need to know
Doing a mood board or creating a visual collage of inspiration is an easy way to achieve your goals for some people, but not for everyone.
Dolsky, an internet comedian and personality, told PEOPLE that he has quit mood boards in the past, but has no plans to revisit the idea in the new year.
“I don’t do that. I let it go a long time ago,” he says. “That’s what I used to do. They don’t work. It’s just a bunch of pictures. I’m not good with pictures like that.”
Instead, the 31-year-old comedian says he likes to do things the old-fashioned way.
“I like to write things down on regular paper,” he says.

Druksi is currently working on a series of commercials with Zoe Saldaña, who is rethinking her mood board strategy following his suggestions.
“I’m always focused on what I want to do as a mood board, so I’m going to take his advice,” the Avatar actress tells PEOPLE. “I don’t have enough energy to put it together because I’m spending all my time and all my energy just getting all the items together.”
“Throw away your mood boards,” Dorsky chimed in.
Although you won’t find Drusky’s 2026 plans beautifully laid out on vision boards with photos, he says his goal for next year is to continue to “expand in everything.”
“Film, TV, everything we’re working on this year. I hope it’s the same next year,” he says.
Despite not being a mood board, the comedian had a great 2025. He was featured on Justin Bieber’s Grammy-nominated album SWAG, ranked on Forbes magazine’s Top Creators list, and appeared in various commercials, including a Dunkin Donuts Super Bowl ad.

Saldaña also had a big year in 2025, winning his first Oscar and starring in Elio and Avatar: Fire and Ash. As for 2026, she says she’s looking forward to a “good night’s sleep” and “a good read.”
“I want to manage my time better, because life is so fleeting. And I love what I do. I love it so much that I give it 120%. I want to make sure that I’m giving 120% to my life, my thoughts, and the things that truly bring me joy,” she says.
Dorsky and Saldaña appear in a new ad spot for T-Mobile alongside actor Harvey Gillen, highlighting the network’s new 15-minute switching experience, which allows customers to switch carriers in just 15 minutes.
T-Mobile’s ad will debut on January 3rd.
