Drew Barrymore shocked her daytime talk show audience when she took off her shoes and let her co-host smell her feet while discussing her personal hygiene habits.
Barrymore and her “Drew News” co-hosts, Sonny Anderson and Ross Matthews, were discussing foot hygiene during a segment on Tuesday’s “The Drew Barrymore Show” when Barrymore, without any prompting, whipped out her bare right foot and sniffed it.
“It’s dirty now,” she said.
Anderson then complimented her, noting that she had smelled Barrymore’s feet before and it was “divine.”
Anderson then said, “Let me check,” as she and Matthews leaned in and sniffed Barrymore’s Tootsie.
The audience visibly gasped, and Anderson said, “It smells like nothing at all. Yeah, that’s what you want.”
Barrymore, 50, insisted: “There’s no smell at all.”
“My feet are dirty, but they don’t smell,” she added.
The “Ever After” star later proudly admitted that she doesn’t wash her feet every day, contrary to expert recommendations that you should do so to fight infections and odor. Rather, the mother of two said she just lets water run down her legs when she takes a shower.
Barrymore playfully called audience members “liars” who claimed to wash their feet every day.
“I mean, I’m in the shower… isn’t that all going on?” she joked about why she doesn’t bother rubbing her feet.
The show then ventured into TMI territory when Barrymore said she had had her toes sucked before, but didn’t enjoy the act.
“I’ve had this happen before, so should I pretend this turns me on?” she shared. “Because that’s stupid.”
She continued, “And you don’t like seeing their faces with your foot in their mouth?…No, thank you!”
