Donna Kelse said her son, Travis Kelse, was a mission man and knew exactly what he wanted just two days before he and Taylor Swift announced their engagement.
In an interview on Sunday, Donna explained and gave answers to tell her the state of her youngest son.
“I think his mind is calm. It’s all I can say to you,” she told people.
“He feels calm, he feels like he’s on a mission and knows exactly what he wants,” she added.
Donna also said that Travis always praised him as “confident in himself.”
“He’s hardworking. He’s a community person,” she said. “I really think he puts all his heart and soul in whatever he does. Those are the things I like about him the most.”
Sources told Page 6 on Tuesday exclusively that the Kansas City Chiefs proposed to a pop superstar “a few weeks ago.”
In October 2024, Donna played Koi when Page 6 asked her about Travis’ suggesting Swift.
“We’ll see what happens. You’ll never know,” she said at the time.
Swift and Kelce, 35, announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post Tuesday, sharing romantic photos of his garden proposal.
They have been on dates since 2023 after he was published on the podcast “New Heights,” and when he saw her perform at Kansas City Stop on her Eras Tour, he said he wanted to give her phone number on a friendship bracelet, but he was not allowed to meet her.

Swift looked back at Travis’s epic gestures during his recent appearance in “New Heights.”
“It was a very wild romantic gesture to be like, ‘I want to date you!’,” she shared. “This guy can’t get the convention and the gift, and he makes it a problem for everyone. That’s the first thing I thought.”
Swift compared the bold move to John Hughes’ films of the 80s, saying, “I want to date you! Do you want to date me? Do you want to make a bracelet of friendship? Do you want to date me?”
