Dolly Parton’s sister Frieda is asking for prayers for the country music icon amid a series of health issues.
“Last night I prayed all night for my sister Dolly. Many of you know that she hasn’t been feeling very well lately,” Frieda posted on Facebook on Tuesday, along with a photo of Dolly.
“I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I’ve started asking people around the world who loved her to become prayer warriors and pray with me.”
Frida continued, “She’s strong and she’s loved. And with all the prayers said for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be okay. Godspeed my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
Fans quickly flooded the comments section of the alarming post, expressing their concerns and sharing their prayers for the ailing musician.
“Right now this is stressing me out,” someone wrote. “Dory, get better soon!!!”
“This is alarming. Praying for Dolly and your family,” another woman added.
“Prayers for Dolly,” another Facebook user said, referring to the 10-time Grammy winner’s loss of her longtime husband Karl Dean in March and the “tremendous” toll it has taken on her body.
“You go through each day feeling sad and depressed,” they continued.
Dolly’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment regarding Dolly’s health.
Frida’s post comes shortly after the “Jolene” songstress postponed her stay in Las Vegas for nearly a year on Sept. 28 to focus on her health after doctors told her she would need several surgeries.
“I want my fans and the public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I have to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concert. As you know, I have been suffering from some health issues and my doctors have told me that several procedures are necessary,” Dolly, 79, said in a statement at the time.
“I joked with them, but it must be time for a 100,000-mile checkup, even though it’s not my usual time to go see a plastic surgeon! In all seriousness, given the circumstances, I can’t rehearse and put together the show I want you to see, and the show you deserve to see.”
But the “9 to 5” star added that he “can still work on all my projects” from his home in Nashville, Tennessee, and assured fans that “I’m not quitting the business because God hasn’t said anything yet.”
On September 17, Dolly was absent from her appearance on Dollywood as she was recovering from a kidney stone that developed into a larger health issue.
“It turns out I had an infection and the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to travel right away, it will take a few days to get better,'” she said in a video explaining her absence. “So he suggested we not go to Dollywood today.”
The singer was originally scheduled to appear to announce the addition of a new ride to the theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Dolly previously announced in July that she would be taking a break from her music projects following Dean’s death.
