Dolly Parton took time to slam AI photos of her and Reba McEntire during a health update.
In an Instagram Reel shared on Wednesday, October 8, the country icon wanted to address the fake image, just one day after her sister Frida told fans she had been “pulling all night” for her.
Not only did Parton, 79, take time to talk about her recent health issues, but she also mentioned a certain AI photo that has been circulating.

“Did you see the AI photo of Reba and me? Oh my god, I mean, they had Reba on my deathbed and we both looked like we needed to be buried,” she quipped in the clip.
Parton added, “But I thought, “But if I’m really dying, I don’t think Reba is on her deathbed. She might come to visit me sooner.”
The “Jolene” musician wanted to address the matter because “there are a lot of rumors going around.”
“I thought that if you heard it from me, you would know that I was OK,” Parton said. “Anyway, that’s what I meant. And I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t expect God to finish me and I’m not done.”
She then told her fans how much she loved them and asked them to “keep praying for me.”
Parton’s video was released a day after her sister Frieda shared a Facebook post encouraging fans to pray for the “9 to 5” hitmaker as she has been “not feeling well lately.”
“I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have begun asking all the people around the world who love her to become prayer warriors and pray with me,” Frida, 68, wrote. “She’s strong and she’s loved. I know in my heart she’s going to be okay because every prayer is being said for her. Oh my god, sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
She later published a post clarifying her earlier statements, saying she “didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound that serious” when she asked for prayers for her sister.
“I strongly believe in the power of prayer, so I just asked for prayers. It was just a sister asking for prayers for her sister,” Frieda wrote in a Facebook post.
On September 28, Parton revealed that some dates in Las Vegas would be postponed and rehearsal time would be shortened due to “some formalities.”
“We want our fans and the public to hear directly that, unfortunately, we have to postpone our upcoming concert in Las Vegas,” she wrote in a statement shared to social media. “As many of you know, I have some health issues and my doctor has told me that I need some treatment.”
Parton joked that it wasn’t her “normal trip to see her orthopedic surgeon.”
