Disney executive Jimmy Zasowski has been promoted to president of platform distribution for Disney Entertainment and ESPN brands.
Zasowski first joined Disney in 2009 and most recently served as executive vice president of platform distribution strategy. In his elevated role, Mr. Zasowski will lead the global distribution of Disney’s entire entertainment and sports media business.
Additionally, Disney leadership has expanded the role of Sean Breen, currently executive vice president of platform distribution sales for all global accounts and North American operations, to include the EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions.
According to Disney, “Mr. Zasowski will lead the distribution and monetization of movies and television programming across Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming services (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN), Disney’s portfolio of eight ABC-owned television stations, ABC’s broadcast partnerships, home entertainment and content licensing. His responsibilities will also include direct oversight of all distribution-related business operations and global distribution and content licensing across North America, EMEA, Asia, Latin America and Asia Pacific.” ”
Mr. Zasowski will report jointly with Disney Entertainment co-chairmen Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, and ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro.
