Variety exclusively reported that Valerie Weiss has signed with Sugar23 as her agent. Weiss will continue to be represented by CAA and Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz.

Weiss is best known for his television directing work, having directed episodes of hit series such as “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Scandal,” “The Rookie,” “The Resident,” “Echoes” and “Outer Banks.” She also directed two episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, including the season 2 episode “Ad Astra Per Aspera” and season 3’s “Sefrat Ate the Tail.”
Weiss also directed two episodes of the NCIS spinoff Tony & Ziva, which premiered on the streamer in September. She also worked on two episodes of Amazon’s upcoming series “It’s Not Like That” and is currently working on Season 4 of Netflix’s hit show “Ginny & Georgia.”
Weiss has directed films such as “Mixtape,” “Archer,” and “A Light Under Our Feet,” and is looking to direct more films as well as television. She co-chairs DGA’s Women’s Steering Committee and has been appointed to both DGA’s Sustainable Futures Committee and Special Projects Committee.
Before working in the entertainment industry, Weiss studied X-ray crystallography at Harvard Medical School and earned a Ph.D. in biophysics and a master’s degree in medicine.
