One wedding, two dates?
Diplo shook his tongue at the gorgeous wedding of actress Temi Otedra and Nigerian pop star Eiji (Nee Olwatshin Ajibade) in Dubai last month, making it seem like he switched his female mates overnight.
Otedra – Her father is billionaire Nigerian businessman Femi Otedra, and Eji married three luxurious weddings for around $10 million.
The first gorgeous event was Villa La Viey in Loquebreun Cap Martin, the former home of designer Karl Lagerfeld in May, and a civil ceremony in Villa La Viey in Cote d’Azur, France, with only a couple and two witnesses.
At the couple’s second celebration in Dubai on July 5, one guest described it as “basically an African Forbes billionaire retreat” – Diplo showed up at the reception with a mystery brunette who clearly missed a dress code note for “traditional red outfits.”
“This was not traditional,” our insider huffed, and an anonymous woman said, “a bright red spandex jumpsuit with a V-neck and waist.”
She didn’t last long.
Sources say Diplo was later found at an afterparty with a completely different woman.
The first woman’s relationship with the singer is unknown, but our sources say “it looked like he brought me a date.”
“The woman may have been friends who later met him for the party,” the source assumed. “But there are no more “spandex women.” The next day, everyone was talking about it. ”
Diplo’s representative says the afterparty woman was really a friend.
The event, held at Otedra’s family mansion, also featured the wealthiest man in Africa, Ghanaian singer-songwriter King Promise, entrepreneur Iinorwa Avoezi, makeup artist Jackie Eina, technician Shora Akinredo, billionaire Abdulrabiu and musician King Ardo Day Agear.
The couple held a three-day event in Iceland on August 8th, where John Legend sang for his guests.
I’ve heard that the crooner was a surprise to Otedra, who was said to be unable to attend the event.
“When Eiji gave a speech and introduced the legend, Temi was blown away,” the spy said, adding that the bride had his first dance with his father and “save the room,” followed by the bride and groom’s dance, the legendary hit, “Tonight (best you had).”
The reception took place in a custom-built glass structure set in a remote area surrounded by grazing cows and Icelandic horses just outside Reykjavik.
The final day includes a drive to Hvammsvik Hot Springs, allowing gentle penetration so that customers can recover from the festival.
“It was the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen,” the source says. “I felt like I was on Mars.”
