Nicole Kidman outlined how she and Keith Urban hope that their two daughters, Rose, 17, Faith Margaret (14), will raise parents following their divorce.
Court documents filed in Nashville on Tuesday and obtained on six pages show that the Oscar winner required that she be a “primary housing parent” and that her father had 59 days a year for 306 days.
“The mother shall be responsible for caring for the children except for the next time the father is responsible. The father shall obtain parenting time on each weekend, from Saturday until 10am to 6pm on Sunday.”
The submission also provides a detailed explanation of the holiday schedule. This states that “in strange years, mothers have time to parent with their children for autumn holidays” and “in even years, fathers have time to parent with their children for autumn holidays.” They also alternate during the Christmas holidays.
The transportation required for a child’s trip to be with parents is divided evenly according to the plan. Parents also agree to jointly make all “major decisions” including education, non-emergency care, religious upbringing and extracurricular activities.
However, Kidman and Urban give each other permission to make “day-day” decisions while “children live with their parents.”
It appears that Kidman and Urban have clearly resolved the details of this custody agreement in advance. They decided that neither party would pay any other child support.
Despite it seemed to be a clean split, the A-list actress said in her divorce filing that the date of separation between her and her estranged husband took place on Tuesday, September 30th, the same day she filed.
Sources said on page 6 Monday that Kidman “didn’t want to separate and was trying to save things,” but “the relationship just runs the course.”
The “Moulin Rouge” star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation. She asked the judge in the case to honor the conditions of the parenting plan and the couple’s disbandment agreement.
Earlier this week, news broke that Kidman and Urban called it quits after 19 years of marriage.
Sources told TMZ at the time that the country’s crooners had already left their family homes.
Then, by Tuesday, rumors had swirled that Urban was already dating another woman.
The insider says Kidman is “blind” by the end of her marriage, but the previous “voice” judge has reportedly already crossed the relationship.
Sources told Page 6 on Tuesday. The “babygirl” star was devastated and I felt “really betrayed” because I wanted to save my marriage.
Neither Kidman nor Urban have made an official statement on the issue yet.
