Demi Moore rarely got a glimpse into her ex-husband Bruce Willis’ “difficult” battle with “difficult” dementia in her recent appearance on the “oprah Winfrey” podcast.
When the former talk show host interviewed Willis’ current wife Emma Heming about her new memoir, “Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope and Self in the Path of Care,” Winfrey performed a clip of a pre-recorded interview he conducted with Moore.
“It’s difficult. It’s so lively, strong, and it’s hard to see someone shifted towards this other part,” the “Charlie’s Angels” star shares his daughter, Rumer (37, Scout, 34), and 31-year-old Tallurer with Willis.
“But my particular perspective is one thing, I always say that it’s so important to see where they are.
“And perhaps because of how much care they need, it’s more playful and childlike in a way.”
Moore went on to explain that the “most important” aspect to her is “presenting and presenting.”
“When you project where it goes, it only creates anxiety. When you regenerate what you lose, it only creates anxiety and sadness,” she continued.
“When you’re there, there’s a lot of it, and a lot of him are still there. And it may not always be verbal, but it’s beautiful considering Givens.”
Moore’s comments come shortly after Heming revealed that he recently made a “hard decision” to place the “di-hard” actor in another home.
“He wanted them to be in a home that suits their needs, not their needs,” Heming said in “Emma and Bruce Willis: An Unexpected Journey – The Diane Sawyer Special.”
Still, Willis lives in a full-time care team, eating breakfast and dinner with Hemming and his daughters.
70-year-old Willis was released in 2022 with an aphasia diagnosis after announcing his retirement from acting.
According to Mayo Clinic, Heming, 47, made another update on the health of the Golden Globe winner last week, revealing that he is still “still very mobile” in his condition.
“Bruce is in a really great health situation. Overall, only his brain is making him fail,” the model explained in an interview with Diane Sawyer of ABC News.
Hemming discusses her role in being a husband’s caregiver in her upcoming memoir, scheduled to be released on September 9th.
