“Deli Boys” was renewed in Season 2 on Hulu and Onyx Collective.

The highly acclaimed comedy series originally debuted as a streamer in March. In addition to the update news, it has been announced that Fred Armisen will be taking part in the show’s second season as a regular series. He will appear alongside fellow stars Asif Ali, Sagar Shaykh and Puna Jagannathan.

The series’ official logline states that it follows “a pair of Pakistani American brothers (Ali, Sheikhs) who lose everything and are forced to consider Baba’s secret life when trying to take up his mantle in the Underworld.” Jagannathan stars as Lucky, a former adviser to the father of the boys who try to lead them in a crime lifestyle.

Armisen’s character is a legendary gambling savant with the mysterious ability to read people like cards. His casino empire is global, but his crown jewels are in Philadelphia.

Onyx Collective and 20th Television today announced that the highly acclaimed original Hulu comedy series, Deli Boys, has been updated for the second season.

Abdullah Saeed created “Deli Boys” and developed the show with Jenni Konner and Nora Silver under Jenni Konner Productions. Season 1 showrunner Michelle Nader is executive producer along with Sayed, Connor and Silver. The executives of Nisha Ganatra produced and directed the pilot. The series is originally from Onyx Collective and is being produced on its 20th television.

Armisen is currently starring as Uncle Fester in the global hit Netflix series Wednesday. He is also known for his 11 seasons on Saturday Night Live and for co-creating and starring in the cult comedy series Portlandia. His other credits include “Big Mouth,” “Los Espookys,” “Documentary Now,” and “Moonbase 8.” In the film, he is known for his film “Super Mario Bros. Films”, “Anchorman” and “Easy A.”

He is represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, WME and Yorn Levine Barnes.
