She is an open book.
Deborah-Lee Furness is reportedly shopping around for a bombshell book about her recent divorce from Hugh Jackman.
The Australian actress was recently spotted meeting with a top publisher in New York City to purchase her “bold, emotional memoir about love, identity, and starting over.”
“She had a big smile on her face, but she looked serious,” a publishing official who reportedly saw Furness leave the midtown building of a major publishing house told British journalist Rob Shooter.
“There were sample pages and lots of notes and the energy of negotiating a book deal,” the source added.
Furness has spent most of her time in her native Australia since her divorce, but friends insisted she was prepared to speak publicly about her side.
“She is getting her voice back,” a friend of Furness’s told Shutter. “She spent years being known as Hugh’s wife. Now she wants to be known for her truth.”
Page Six reached out to representatives for Mr. Furness and Mr. Jackman, but did not immediately receive a response.
Furness, 69, filed for divorce from the “Wolverine” actor, 57, in May, nearly two years after they first announced their separation.
The former couple, who married in April 1996, have two adopted children, son Oscar (25) and daughter Eva (20).
A year after their split, Jackman went public with his relationship with girlfriend Sutton Foster.
In May, Furness broke her silence about her “traumatic journey of betrayal” during her failed marriage, issuing a lengthy statement calling the breakup “a deep, cutting wound.”
“I believe in a higher power and that God and the universe, whatever you relate to as guidance, are always working for our good,” she wrote.
The Marvel star and Furness finalized their divorce the same month, reportedly splitting their multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio worth an estimated $387 million.
Last month, Jackman and Foster, 50, made their red carpet debut at the premiere of their new movie Son San Bleu.
