Strange things are happening on the set of “Evil Genius.”
David Harbor was photographed looking unrecognizable on Monday while filming his new thriller movie in New Jersey.
The 50-year-old actor wore a thick suit on the Woodbridge set, but hid it with a blue button-down, overalls and a tan jacket.
Additionally, Harbor rocked gray hair, a beard, and glasses.
In the Courteney Cox-directed film, which is based on true events that took place in 2003, Harbor plays Brian Wells, the so-called “pizza bomber” who robs banks with explosives around his neck.
The project, co-produced by Jason Bateman, also stars Patricia Arquette.
Harbor, in particular, has had to drastically change her appearance for a role.
The Emmy nominee lost 80 pounds to play Jim Hopper Jr. in Season 4 of Stranger Things in 2022, going from 270 pounds to 190 pounds.
Later, in a flashback scene, her face was filled with prosthetics.
Haber’s weight loss was “less serious” than cutting calories through intermittent fasting, he told GQ that summer.
“For example, we will have a grace period of six hours,” he explained in July 2022. “And I started doing 24-hour fasts two days a week because I started getting more and more intense.”
The Golden Globe nominee has made his diet “cleaner and cleaner” by eating “more vegetables and less sugar.”
As for working out, Haber did Pilates, weight training, and “a lot of running.”
He then “taken it all back” and played Santa Claus in Violent Night in December 2022.
Harbor vowed to the outlet that she would “never again” undergo such an extreme transformation because the optional “prosthetics are too good.”
Meanwhile, the Tony nominee’s turbulent personal life has been in the headlines in recent weeks.
Mr. Harbor’s estranged wife, Lily Allen, appeared to accuse him of cheating on her hard-hitting album “West End Girl” in October, while reports surfaced last month that her “Stranger Things” co-star Millie Bobby Brown had filed a complaint of bullying and harassment against Mr. Harbor.
Harbor and Brown, 21, put on a united front in the season 5 premiere of the Netflix drama last week, but a body language expert described their friendship as “over the top.”
