David Del Rio’s wife, Katherine Del Rio, has accused Leah Lewis of sexually assaulting her husband.
Katherine posted a close-up photo of Lewis’ face on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, writing: “This is the most insecure human being I’ve ever met.”
The 34-year-old also mocked Lewis’ comments about the scandal, sharing exactly the same with her followers.
“Mom is here, we move forward in love and strength,” a smiling red carpet snap of Lewis read, which was also copied by Katherine. “I’m in good shape.
“Thank you to everyone for all kinds of support and consideration,” the “Nancy Drew” alum continued. “Really, we’re moving forward strong. The key word is strength. Make that your point.”
Katherine has since deleted both posts.
Representatives for David and Lewis did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
On Thursday, news broke that David, 38, had been fired from the CBS courtroom drama over his alleged sexual assault of Lewis.
According to Deadline , the alleged assault occurred on September 26th.
The newspaper claimed that David was “fired on the same day (October 2) that the alleged assault was reported and was escorted off the premises.”
His character, Billy Martinez, is scheduled to be removed from the show’s second season immediately.
Notably, the show went on hiatus from filming until November after production on the first half of the season wrapped.
David has yet to speak publicly about the scandal, and Lewis, who plays Sarah Franklin, has not spoken out beyond his initial statement.
The cast of “Matlock,” which also includes Kathy Bates, Jason Ritter and other stars, has not yet commented.
“Matlock” Season 2 will premiere on October 12th.
