David Beckham’s former assistant Brooklyn Beckham responds to accusations against his parents

David Beckham’s former assistant Rebecca Roos has spoken out following shocking comments about Brooklyn Beckham’s parents.

Loos, 48, responded to news of Brooklyn’s bombshell Instagram Story – slamming her father David and mother Victoria Beckham and accusing him of trying to sabotage his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham – in a series of comments on the platform on January 19.

One of Roos’ followers wrote in the comments section: “Rebecca, you have to see the amazing groove Brooklyn just posted on the story about David and Victoria and their lies. I feel like Brooklyn supports everyone who knows the surface of it.”

The comment continued, “I know you’re amazing and happy and don’t need validation, but I think you feel a special source of validation. Especially the last one about the dog 🐾.”

Rose replied: “I’m so glad he’s finally able to stand up for himself and speak out in public!!!! I felt so bad for his poor wife because I know exactly what it’s like!”

The former Dutch model, who worked as the soccer star’s personal assistant in 2003, also responded to a commenter who said, “Entering from Brooklyn is fascinating.”

“The truth will always come out ❤️,” Ruth wrote.

PEOPLE reached out to Loos’ representatives, who declined to comment. Representatives for David and Victoria did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Brooklyn, 26, broke her silence after months of speculation about a rift between her and Nicola, 31, and her parents in a lengthy statement on Instagram.

In an emotional post on her Instagram Story, Brooklyn accused her parents of spreading “countless lies”, “endlessly ruining” her relationship with Nicola in the name of publicity and trying to protect their image.

He also claimed that his parents had tried to “bribe” him into “relinquishing the rights” to his name before his wedding to Nicola, saying he had no intention of “reconciling” with his family and was “standing up for himself for the first time in my life.”

In his post, Brooklyn also spoke about several moments when his family tried to sabotage his relationships, including his wedding to actress Nicola in 2022 and his father’s 50th birthday last May.

He claims his mother Victoria, 51, “hijacked” his wedding dance with Nicola and “danced inappropriately on top of me” during his and Nicola’s Palm Beach wedding, which he said left him “humiliated”. Brooklyn also claimed that her fashion designer mother canceled Nicola’s wedding dress at the “eleventh hour”.

Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent from David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May 2025. A source told PEOPLE at the time that the two were invited, but it’s unclear why they didn’t attend.

The Beckham family’s eldest son addressed the couple’s absence on his Instagram Story, saying he went to London to celebrate with Nicola and was “waiting in his hotel room trying to plan some quality time with[David]. He rejected all our attempts, except for his big birthday party with 100 guests and cameras on every corner. When he finally agreed to meet me, it was on the condition that he didn’t invite Nicola.”

Last May, a source told PEOPLE that Brooklyn’s relationship with her parents is “definitely not beyond repair.” “They love (Brooklyn) and will always be there,” they continued. “They’re just hurt and disappointed that he doesn’t play any role in their family life.”

As the family rift continues, a source familiar with the situation told PEOPLE earlier this month, “David and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward.”

“David loves his children,” the source added of Brooklyn, sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14. “They’re everything to him.”

Roos previously claimed that she had a four-month affair with David more than 20 years ago, while he was still married to Victoria.

Back in March 2025, Mr Roos doubled down on his claims in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia. Ms Roos insisted she had “stayed true to the truth”, “never exaggerated” and “never lied about anything”.

David previously denied Ruth’s accusations in a statement to the Guardian in April 2004, calling them “ridiculous”.
