Rebecca Luce, David Beckham’s alleged ex-mistress, is Team Brooklyn Beckham.
In her latest Instagram post, the personal assistant turned yoga teacher responded to a fan urging her to read a statement from the aspiring chef, who accused David and Victoria Beckham of being controlling.
“I’m so glad he’s standing up for himself and finally being able to speak out in public!!! I felt so bad because I know what his poor wife must be like!” Roos responded by mentioning Brooklyn’s spouse Nicola Peltz.
The fan also told Roos, 48, that it “felt like Brooklyn was supporting everyone who knew what it looked like.”
“We know you’re wonderful and happy and don’t need validation, but we think you’ll feel an additional source of validation,” they noted.
To another person who called Brooklyn’s statement an “interesting confession,” she replied, “The truth will always come out.”
In 2004, Ruth was humiliated after publicly claiming to have had an affair with David. At the time, the footballer had moved to Spain to play for Real Madrid, leaving behind his then-wife and young son, who had been living in England for four years.
Ruth has continued to stand by her claims ever since, despite David, 50, and Victoria, 51, vehemently denying her claims.
As for Brooklyn, the 26-year-old posted on her Instagram Stories on Monday that she had “no choice” but to deal with her feud with her parents.
“I don’t want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote in part. “I’m not being controlled. For the first time in my life, I’m standing up for myself. My parents have always controlled what was said about our family in the media.”
The former photographer continued, “Throughout my life, my parents have controlled the media coverage of our family with performative social media posts, family affairs, and fake relationships. …Recently, I saw with my own eyes the lengths to which they go to feed countless lies to the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, in order to maintain their own appearance.”
He also claimed that his parents were “endlessly trying to destroy” his relationship with Peltz, 31, and that Victoria canceled the production of his wife’s wedding dress at the last minute.
Brooklyn went on to claim that her parents called her a “bad guy” for not having them at the table at her wedding to Peltz, and that Victoria hijacked their first dance.
“Marc Anthony called me on stage in front of 500 wedding guests. The schedule was for a romantic dance with my wife, but instead he waited for my mother to dance with me,” he recalled. “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I have never felt so uncomfortable and humiliated in my life.”
He also claimed that his family “values publicity and support above all else” because “Brand Beckham comes first”, explaining that “a family’s ‘love’ is determined by how much they post on social media, or how quickly they drop everything and show up for a family photo shoot, even at the expense of their professional obligations.”
Additionally, he rejected the idea that his wife was controlling him, claiming it was “regressive.”
Brooklyn said she only wanted to speak to her parents through her lawyer, but insisted, “I have been under the control of my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. After being separated from my family, for the first time in my life, that anxiety disappeared. I wake up every morning, grateful for the life I have chosen, and find peace and serenity.”
Following his statement, a source said that despite how “crazy and outrageous” it may sound, “everything Brooklyn said in the statement is true.”
Officials also noted that no settlement is on the books, saying it is “too late for now.”
“He’s had enough,” they said.
As for why Brooklyn finally came clean about their feud on social media, another source said: “There was a huge rift in trust.”
“From Brooklyn and[wife]Nicola[Peltz’s]point of view, they’ve done everything they can to privately mend their relationship with David and Victoria, and they’ve tried to talk and meet with them, but at the end of the day, they just can’t trust them anymore.”
Brooklyn and Peltz were also said to have reached a point of frustration after reading things that were “not true.”
“They had had enough,” the source explained, noting that as the drama escalated in recent months, “this ended up becoming a huge power struggle between two powerful families.”
“The couple no longer want to deal with this issue,” the source added. “They’ve been through it and they just want to move on with their lives. Last week was the final test. They couldn’t take it anymore.”
