Daredevil: Born Again season 2 surprised fans at New York Comic Con with the first trailer for season 2. Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, appeared on stage and was reunited with Krysten Ritter, who is officially returning to the MCU as Jessica Jones. Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ in March 2026.
The biggest moment in the trailer, which was shown only to those in the room, was the reappearance of Ritter-Jones, who previously starred in Netflix’s self-titled Marvel series and teamed up with Daredevil in “The Defenders.” Elden Henson, who shockingly passed away as Foggy Nelson in the Born Again series premiere, also appears in the trailer and is set to return for season two. The Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, appears throughout the trailer and is shown boxing with his opponent in the ring.
Season 1 of “Daredevil: Born Again” will be released on Disney+ in early 2025 and will see the return of many of the original cast members from Netflix’s gritty “Daredevil” series. Cox previously reprized his role as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk and Echo, and headlined the series, Marvel’s first M-rated show.
Daredevil (aka blind lawyer Matt Murdock) faces off against Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin), played by Vincent D’Onofrio, to become mayor of New York City. Henson and Deborah Ann Woll also return as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, two of Matt’s best friends. However, the series premiere of Born Again shocked fans when the killer Bullseye (Wilson Bethel of Netflix’s Daredevil) murders Foggy, sends Matt into a depression, and hangs his Daredevil costume out to dry.
It was previously announced that Ritter would be returning as Jones for Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Horror king Matthew Lillard is also set to join Season 2, and the show has been renewed for Season 3 early this summer.
The cast of “Born Again” also includes Margarita Levieva, Zabrina Guevara, Nikki James, Jeneya Walton, Artie Frushian, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and Ayelet Zurer. Jon Bernthal, who played the Punisher in Netflix’s Daredevil and his own spinoff, also returns, making his MCU debut in Born Again. In addition to appearing in next summer’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Bernthal is set to star in his own MCU TV special about the violent vigilante group.
