Daniel Fishel “never doubted” that Lauren Jauregui will succumb from x from “Dance with the Stars” this season.
The “Boy Meets World” alumni shared how she felt about the shocking elimination on Wednesday’s episode of the “Danielle with the Stars” podcast.
The actress, who gave a review this week for her post-escaping exchange with fellow contestant Whitney Leavitt, called Jauregui’s exit “very shocking.”
“I love Lauren. I love watching her perform… Her face is just a piece of art, and she’s expressive, elegant and fun,” Fischel gushed.
“She’s everything as a person. She really enjoyed the moment she walked past each other in the hall, giving each other a hug and cheering on each other.”
At the end of Tuesday’s “Tictock Knight” episode, former Fifth Harmony member and professional partner Brandon Armstrong waited patiently to hear the fate from co-hosts Julianne Huff and Alfonso Ribeiro.
Other couples at risk of exclusion were comedians Andy Richter and Emma Slater, as well as actresses Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bursten.
Fischel heard the listeners feel that Joregui and Armstrong were something to go and point out how “great” the singer’s scores are.
“It’s not like she was on the bottom in the score, so it just shows how important the vote is,” the former Disney Channel star said. “The only thing I can understand is that somehow she didn’t have enough votes. It’s shocking. It’s a truly shocking night.”
Fischel admitted that losing fellow cast members every week is always a “so great” and “neurious” experience, but that’s all part of the competition.
As for how Jauregui felt, the “X Factor” alumni confirmed on Tuesday that she was “offended” about the outcome.
Naturally, fans of the show went to social media to consider elimination. Some then speculated what was going on with the current virus clips of Fischel and Leebitt.
When Jauregui was comforted by the rest of his season 34 competitors, the hilarious “The Secret Life of the Mormon Wife” star was caught on camera that appears to be trying to celebrate with Fishel to reach the next round of competition.
Leavitt immediately corrected her expression on live TV after a brief chat with Fishel.
Social media users say, “Daniel can tell you it’s not time and you can clearly see Whitney returning to pretending to be sick.”
Page 6 was chatted exclusively with Fischel and Pashkov after the show. The two dealt with everything from the positive feedback they received from the judge to the way the actress was giving her “great” to her “DWTS” journey.
