Dakota Johnson and Role Model (whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury) are still together as the spring continues, and their romance is deepening, a source tells People magazine. Shortly after pictures of the two kissing were leaked this weekend, a source spoke out about how Johnson feels about the musician and the development of his relationship with the media outlet.
“This is definitely not just an affair or an affair,” the source said, adding that the pair had been seeing each other “since late last year.”
Johnson is taking things cautiously, the source added, adding: “[She]really likes[him]but is also taking things slowly after a previous long-term relationship.” (Johnson and her ex Chris Martin called off their engagement last year.)
And the role model is understanding, a source said: “[They]are very much on the same page and feel very comfortable. She thinks he’s cute and he treats her incredibly well.”
In early November, a source told People magazine that Johnson is “slowly starting to date again and she’s happy. Her relationship with Chris has been on and off and she always hoped things would work out, but now that it’s finalized, she seems lighter and more at peace.”
On March 12, a source gave People an update on Johnson’s love life, saying she was in no rush to get into a relationship and that her relationship with the role model was “just casual.”
Although Johnson hasn’t spoken about the musician, she spoke more extensively about her dating experiences on Elle UK last May while promoting her romantic comedy The Materialist.
“I think the whole concept of this movie is so interesting because it’s so foreign to me,” she said. “I’ve never dated anyone. I’ve had boyfriends, but I’ve never used a dating app. I just don’t know that world. So it was very interesting and intriguing to me. It’s the most beautiful side of being human, but it’s also the ugliest side. Loving someone is the scariest thing a person can do, and it’s also a beautiful thing.”
