Dakota Johnson doesn’t care what people think about her “naked” dress.
In a new cover story for Vogue Germany, the 36-year-old actress and director opens up about her bold style choices and why she plans to continue rocking designs similar to her most talked-about looks.
When asked by the magazine if she ever worried that a nude dress would be ‘too sexy’, the Verity star answered candidly.

“I’m not concerned at all,” Johnson said.
“I have access to some of the most beautiful dresses and I wear them because I feel beautiful when I wear them,” she continued.
The Fifty Shades of Gray actress added, “Sometimes the dress looks good on me. But some of the dresses we tried on didn’t fit me at all. It depends on the shape, the finish, the color, everything. So when I find a beautiful dress that I feel comfortable in, of course I want to wear it! And it’s fun to wear a sexy dress.”
Johnson, the daughter of actress Melanie Griffith and Miami Vice star Don Johnson, said she is grateful to her mother for giving her confidence.
“My mother was very open about body topics,” the Splitsville star said of the Lolita actress.
Dakota continued, “She taught us how to respect and love our bodies and that our bodies are beautiful. And I think that’s really important for young girls because we keep being told we’re not good enough.”
“And if the woman you admire the most told you from a young age that you were perfect and smart and special and strong and brave, it could really break your heart. It’s hard to re-teach yourself that love later on. That was a huge gift she gave me,” the Madame Web actress said.
One of Dakota’s most “naked” dresses included a sheer Gucci dress with intricate black floral embroidered lace that she wore to the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women dinner in New York City on September 11th.

Dakota’s signature brunette hair was styled into a pinned updo to accentuate the gown’s neckline.
She accessorized with emerald earrings and a matching necklace. Her finishing touches included black open-toe pumps.
That same month, the Materialist actress attended the Zurich Film Festival at the Congress House on September 25th, where she posed on the green carpet wearing another sheer long-sleeved dress.

The top of Dakota’s indigo dress had a lace look that fit like a second skin. Just below the hips was a flowing tulle design.
Unlike the black Gucci dress, this daddy star decided not to wear any noticeable underwear underneath.
