Courteney Cox’s daughter, Coco, has influenced her in many ways.
Courteney Cox, 61, spoke to PEOPLE about the launch of her home court brand Cece body care, and shared the beauty and style tips and tricks her daughter Coco, 21, has taught her.
“She teaches me how to do makeup in a very easy way,” says Cox.
For example, “She taught me how to apply blush, and I thought it was here,” Cox said, pointing to her cheekbones. “It’s actually on the apples of my cheeks.”
Coco has also proven to be a muse for eyebrows.
“She has the most beautiful eyebrows ever. She’s absolutely gorgeous,” Cox exclaimed. “If you look back at photos from 10 or 20 years ago when you’re about to post something, you’ve had thin eyebrows for much longer than when they were popular,” she says. “So one of the things I like now is having thick eyebrows like hers.”

Cox credits Coco with helping her make some of her fashion choices, but admits, “Some of the things girls are doing now I can’t follow.”
Even so, “as long as you pass the test here,” that’s fine.
“She’s the coolest girl I know,” Cox says.
Coco also played a major role in the creation of Cox’s first body care collection, Kokomoi, including devising the mood board for the campaign.
“I just gave her some adjectives,” Cox says. “I said, ‘Sure, I want a coconut scent, I want a wet feel, but I don’t want it to be summery. And it has cedarwood in it, so I want it to have a woody feel.’ I gave her those three things and she said, ‘Okay.’ Please leave me alone. I understand. ”
result? “She came up with something incredible,” Cox said. “She has great taste.”

Cox’s signature scent, Sissi, has a deep connection with Kokomoi. The latter was “made especially for me and Coco,” Cox explains. It’s also tied to cedarwood, one of Cox’s favorite scents, which isn’t included in any other major collections.
Regarding Kokomoi’s coconut-based seasonal scent, Cox says, “I love coconut, but it’s not something that can only be worn in the summer. I didn’t want to create something that smelled like sunscreen.”
“I went into a perfumery, took the ingredients I like best, a little bit of vanilla, pepper, and of course cedarwood. Then I got all the glass containers to mix and combined two scents that I really like.”
“They were both very tasty, but I really thought Coco would choose the one she liked best. One was a little sweeter than the other. Then she came over and chose Coco Moi.”
Cox loves all the products in the collection, and she switches between this and Cece body wash, but this mist may have an edge.
“I spray every day. I’m hooked,” Cox said.

Is there one thing that Coco and Cox probably wouldn’t agree on? The decoration of Mr. Cox’s home.
Cox is an interior design enthusiast, but their aesthetics don’t match, she says, explaining, “She thinks I have the blandest palette in the house. It’s very earthy and dark.”

But there’s another person Cox can bond with over a similar aesthetic: Jennifer Aniston. The LolaVie founder once told people that interior design is people’s “love language.”
“It’s kind of boring when you walk into a room together and people cry, but that’s what we like,” Aniston said in August.
“I don’t think it’s as interesting as it is for us,” Cox said, smiling after hearing Aniston’s take.
