Country singer Drake White and his wife Alex mourn the death of their baby daughter.
On Sunday, August 7th, Alex revealed that the baby they named Dela Elizabeth White passed away just minutes after being born in 29 weeks seven days ago.
“On Sunday, August 31st, our precious daughter, Della Elizabeth White, was with Jesus and went to peace. I am so grateful for the holy moment God gave her,” Alex captioned the Instagram post, sharing the image of the couple embracing their baby girl.
Alex continued, “The Lord was close to us during this difficult time. He embraced us and supported us through it.”
“We are heartbroken and our souls are tired, but we know that we will overcome this difficult time with strength, peace and joy that only our Heavenly Father can offer. May Della be embraced in Jesus’ arms until one day we meet her,” she added before sharing the two poems sals, 34:18 and 31:10, 14-15.

“The Lord is near the broken ones, and will save those who have been mentally crushed. -psalm 34:18,” writes Alex.
“I am dying from grief. My years are shortened by grief. Misery has eliminated my power. I am wasting away from the inside. My future is in your hands.
Alex confirmed that her daughter was born on August 31st at 8:52am local time. He then passed away “peacefully” at 9:12am.
Drake and Alex confirmed with people that the rep is expecting a second child together in May, and that they are also parents to their two-year-old son, William Hawk.

Alex previously confirmed that he was pregnant and told people, “We were able to get pregnant through IVF and we were able to do a frozen embryo transfer in March. We got pregnant 10 days later and we found out we were scheduled for November.”

Before welcoming William, the couple endured a six-year path to parent-child relationships, including their respective health issues, in addition to their struggle for fertility.
“We’ve gone through a lot,” Drake told people in September 2022. “We went through a lot from having an on-stage stroke until being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and having an autoimmune disorder.
The musician said at the time, “I wanted to encourage married couples, individuals in general to lean on your community and others experiencing it by sharing his story.
