Corey Feldman reflected on this year’s Oscars in memory of late director Rob Reiner, reacting to being ignored from the moment, saying it was “a bit like a family reunion you weren’t invited to.”

“I’m not going to use this time to talk about my feelings about it,” Feldman, 54, told Entertainment Weekly in a joint interview with Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton to commemorate the film’s 40th anniversary.

Billy Crystal led a special segment dedicated to Rob and his wife Michelle Singer Reiner at the 2026 ceremony earlier this month.

A number of notable stars who have worked with Reiner throughout his career took to the stage, including Demi Moore, Meg Ryan, and Feldman’s “Stand by Me” co-stars O’Connell and Wheaton.

“Instead, I just want to say that my thoughts are with the rest of the band. We are all so devastated that it turned out the way it did, losing Rob when we all thought he would be joining us at some point on this tour. It’s a tragedy,” Feldman continued.

“I think Jerry and Will did what they were supposed to do,” Feldman said, adding that the initial emotion “was fleeting.”

“I don’t feel like I missed out on anything at all,” he continued.

“For me personally, I was probably a little bothered by the fact that no one can say or do or say anything that comes from their heart.”

“They did a great job, but I wish I had heard from Will and Jerry and some of the other people,” he concluded.

Page Six has reached out to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for comment.

Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle were found murdered in their Los Angeles home on December 14th. Mr. Reiner was 78 years old and she was 70. The next day, the couple’s middle child, Nick Reiner, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Nick is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of his parents. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

If convicted, he could face life in prison without parole or the death penalty. The next court date is scheduled for April 29th.
