Chad and Carey Hayes, the writing team behind “The Conjuring,” is making their first foray into directing the thriller “Train,” starring Frances O’Connor.
The project reunites Hayes Brothers, who appeared in “The Conjuring 2,” as Peggy Hodgson, with O’Connor. The Hayes duo created the first “Conjour” film to launch what became the top horror franchise in cinema history.
Blake Northfield and Michelle Krumm are produced through banner Bronte Studios. The Australian company recently debuted “Beast of War” at the Melbourne International Film Festival, and the film was later screened at the Fantastic Fest in Austin.
“We are excited to work with the incredible team at Bronte Studios to make our directorial debut with ‘Train’,” Hayes Brothers said in a statement. “After years of writing, developing and living within the industry, we are excited to finally put all of that experience behind the camera. This story has everything we love about our genre and we can’t wait to make this happen.”
Producers Northfield and Krum added: “The Hayes brothers are known all over the world as creators of the most successful horror films in history. It’s now the director’s turn. They’re excited to produce their director’s debut and are incredibly excited about the cast of Francis O’Connor.
O’Connor’s previous works include “The Missing,” “AI Artificial Intelligence,” and “The Conjuring 2.”
Additional casting and production information will be revealed at a later date.
