Claire Danes has revealed the name of her third child, more than two years after giving birth.
Danes revealed on Tuesday’s “Good Hang” podcast that the toddler’s name is Shay.
During the episode, the “Homeland” alum gushed about the “really fun” young man she shares with husband Hugh Dancy.
“I love watching toddlers dance when they jump and bounce,” she said. “And Shay, my baby, she’s very in her head and dreamy and sometimes does this kind of (head bobbing) dance and I’m like, ‘That’s great.'”
Danes, who is also the mother of sons Cyrus, 13, and Rowan, 7, mentioned Shay’s name again as she described the costumes she had embroidered for each of her children.
“I have something[unfinished]for my third child, Shay,” Danes admitted. “She’s not wearing a onesie anymore. I missed that chance. I’m confessing. I’m actually confessing to you. It’s by my bed. It’s half-finished.”
Elsewhere on the podcast, the Golden Globe winner reflected on the moment she found out she was pregnant with her third child at age 44.
Ms Danes said she experienced a “meltdown” with “convulsive tears”.
“I didn’t know it was physically possible,” explained Daines, who said she conceived Rowan through two rounds of IVF.
The Emmy winner told host Amy Poehler that her best friend had predicted her “surprise” pregnancy.
“She had a dream where she looked down and saw herself pregnant, but she wasn’t pregnant. She was inside my pregnant body,” Danes recalled.
The “Beast in Me” star debuted an “unexpected” baby bump in January 2023 and confirmed she was expecting a daughter six months later.
Danes spoke about the “shame” he felt at the time on the podcast “SmartLess” in November 2025.
“I was a little outside the parameters,” she said. “Looks like I was playing a prank. I was caught fornicating beyond the scheduled point.”
She and Dancy, 50, married in September 2009.
