Cierra Ramirez and Othersyde tied the knot!

The Fosters star and its spinoff series Good Trouble married a musician, Jonathan Gonzalez, at the Lafayette Hotel & Club in San Diego, California on Saturday, September 13th. Among the 160 guests was Ramirez’s “Foster’s Mama.”

“One of the advice I received early when I got engaged was, ‘Don’t blink!” Engaged to my hometown of Houston on September 9, 2024, Ramirez is there because of how quickly your wedding day actually flies.

An impromptu family and wedding party-only rehearsal dinner at Italian restaurant Senecatratoria overlooks the breathtaking North San Diego Bay.

Everything that has accumulated up to the wedding day, which 30-year-old Ramirez describes as “my dream come true.”

“I’m sure my 10-year-old Pinterest board will be very proud,” the actress shares.

“Retro” venue

Ramirez and Gonzalez met through Mutual Friends at Hyde Sunset in Los Angeles in 2018, and were particularly drawn to the “magic” colonial style venue due to the “retro, eclectic atmosphere.” They “fall in love” on the premises around the same time they were designing their homes, around the same time they were taking “inspiration” from historic hotels.

To allow the couple to “make the space already more special” and “the character and love story shine,” the florist’s affection filled the venue with beautiful floral prints and tapered candles.

Because Ramirez has a Type B personality and is at the forefront of decision making while her wedding planning is out of her “comfort zone.” Luckily, Gonzalez is the opposite of a “very Type A” figure, so he, alongside their “genius” wedding planner, Julian Ford, made the experience “stressless” and “fun.”

Honor your loved one

The secret life of an American teenage graduate admits that while planning, she “sighed the weight” that her deceased son wasn’t there. His death in April 2021 from Covid-19 was “one of the most difficult things in life” and she “really fears” the idea that he wasn’t walking down the aisle as she always filmed.

Ramirez praised Sony at the ceremony. This was officiated by the Rev. Chad Narayan of Zoe Church LA. Her uncle Rudy walked her to the next chapter to see Brandon Lake’s string quartet, Caprice Strings, perform her favorite worship song, “Thanks.” Gonzalez also went down the aisle to Audio Slave’s favorite song, “Like A Stone.”

Glamour said as he realized it was his last day, while yelling “Become a Gramum” with his mother Chris and sister Savannah. Her hair and makeup were done by Sylvia Heranchian and Lina Raja Mourey, respectively.

Two wedding dresses

On her big day, Ramirez wore two dresses.

“My wedding dress is Nicole + Felicia and I originally came in one of their dresses. I tried it out. “Of course, mom knows the best! My mom always knows it best! When I try it, when I put it on… I just knew! It’s a very timeless dress and I feel like a princess in it!”

After Ramirez and Gonzalez exchanged handwritten vows and four-split rings, the actress was transformed into Kim Cassaskútulle gowns. Ramirez has been putting designers on “radar” since his engagement.

“Her designs are different from what I’ve seen,” the bride gushed. “Intricate details and racing… hmm, I can go on for days! The second look I have is really, if it was our venue, Lafayette, if it was a dress. We worked with the bolero, sparkly.

Overnight entertainment

Having great music was obviously important to Gonzalez. In addition to the string quartet, which performed the modern song Bridgeton style, the “The Train” singer hired Smith’s tribute band quickly everywhere, as both him and Ramirez are “Love” Morrissey.

“It was probably the first time we booked for a wedding!” Ramirez said.

DJ Elect continues, “maintaining the atmosphere and seating is open,” starting with performing “Promise” for the couple’s first dance in Rome.

“Our biggest fear was getting on stage and freezing like a deer in the headlights,” says Ramirez. “Thankfully, my friend Chris Downey, who is an incredible choreographer, helped us come up with something to make us look amazing.

Ramirez also surprised his mother with a special mother-daughter dance to Taylor Swift’s “best day.” “From my teenage years, the song has made such a meaningful thing to us and she deserves praise for shaping who I am,” she shared, predicting that neither of them had dry eyes before the wedding.

As the clock stroked in the middle of the night, the reception turned into a “boiler room” with the groom’s “great idea”: DJ King Julian.

“He brings out the really fun side and the best side of me,” Ramirez said of her now husband. “He urges me to be a better version of myself every day. I admire his drive, his integrity, his ability to always downplay any situation, and his constant support code on road trips, even if he knows he doesn’t want me.”

“Edchy” menu

The late-night bites included sliders, grilled cheese sandwiches, 24-hour beginner diner fries from Lafayette, ice cream sundaes and chocolate chip cookies. In the evening, cocktail hours, ditches and guests ate at the hotel’s retro-inspired bowling alley at the venue’s housework Oaxacan restaurant crab cake doughnuts, ceviche, squash blossom, chips and guacamole appetizers.

With many restaurants on site in Lafayette, the wedding dinner was “very eclectic.” On the menu there was a classic Caesar salad, truffle chicken roulade and Koji that cured the Santa Maria steak and eggplant lasagna.

A slice of two-layer Lambeth wedding cake baked by Karen’s snack was served as dessert. It was decorated with a vintage cake topper that Ramirez glued onto a mini French bulldog. “We had to include baby fur Lennon!” she says.

Other details at the reception include the Espresso Martini Luge of the Art of Ice Sculpture and the Photo Booth at the Roma Photo Booth. The rental was from bright event rentals and lighting by DJ SEPI.

To conclude “Beautiful Weekend Love,” a pool party was held on Sunday, September 14th, before the couple headed for their mini honeymoon in Laguna Beach.

Hope for the future

For Ramirez and Gonzalez, marriage is the “ultimate commitment” and “consolidate a partner for life.”

Ramirez doesn’t affirm what the next chapter will look like, but he wants to travel more before “settling and having a family.”

“I can’t wait to see Sierra as a mom because I know she’s going to be the best she’s ever had,” he tells people. “Building a beautiful family is always the ultimate goal of life, so I look forward to seeing how that happens.”

The music artist believes that he and Ramirez will “evolve as parents,” but he does not believe that marriage will change the dynamics of their relationship.

“As long as you think people will change things when you get married, I kind of disagree,” says Gonzalez. “I think we move exactly the same way. I’m young and in love. I want to have the title of marriage, but I have the spirit of “boyfriend and girlfriend” and continue to explore life and the world together. ”

Ramirez said, “I’m so excited to be with this new chapter together. Jonathan is really my best friend. He makes me laugh like everyone else.”
