Christopher Meloni made Amy Poehler nervous during a hilarious FaceTime call with Mariska Hargitay.
On the Monday, Oct. 21, episode of the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast, the 54-year-old Mean Girls alum chatted with Meloni, 64, via webcam at the beginning of the show before Hargitay, 61, arrived as a guest in person.
“Do you know why I lost you? Mariska called me,” Meloni said of her longtime co-star and friend Law & Order: Special Victims Unit while explaining why the screen cut out during the podcast.
Poehler laughed at the coincidence, calling it “amazing.”
“She says, ‘Why aren’t you there? Are you naked?'” Meloni claimed Hargitay told her before pausing the interview portion of the podcast to answer a call from Hargitay.
Meloni clarified that he had no idea Hargitay was also a Poehler customer.
“Can I call her?” he asked, laughing with Poehler. Meloni told the Saturday Night Live star to be quiet while he FaceTimed Hargitay, who was on his way to Poehler’s podcast.
When Hargitay answered the phone, Meloni playfully replied, “What’s up, girlfriend?”
The My Mama Jane director started talking to Meloni about Lemons, but steered the conversation back to what he had been joking about before calling Meloni back midway through the podcast.
“Was that a hint? You want a nude?” he asked her.
When Hargitay, unaware that he was appearing in the episode being taped, playfully asked Meloni, “Are you OK?” Poehler did his best to quietly laugh from the studio.
Almost immediately, Hargitay returned to his “lemon-filled” story as Poehler and Meloni continued to laugh.
Meloni then asked Hargitay, who was on his way, where he was going.
“I’m going to Amy Poehler right now,” Hargitay said.
Poehler’s shocked reaction was shown on a split screen as she waited to see what Hargitay would say.
“You know, I met her and I don’t know anything about her,” Hargitay continued while Poehler’s jaw dropped hilariously. The Baby Mama actress also remained silent during the call, calmly waving her arms in the air.
Meloni laughed even more as he watched Poehler squirm.
Eventually, Hargitay asked Meloni why he was laughing, and Meloni replied that he was just “joking” about Poehler and that he loved her.

“You always loved her,” Hargitay said.
After getting off the phone, Poehler was finally able to tell Meloni what he thought.
“I was very nervous,” Poehler admitted. “I actually started sweating because I felt like I was in high school hearing how someone was talking about me. I’m thankful she didn’t say anything bad.”
Poehler continued, “What if she said, ‘I have to do this stupid podcast?'”
Meloni, still smiling, said she “trusts” Hargitay would not do something like that.

Once Hargitay arrived, he spoke later in the episode about the first time he met Meloni, calling the audition process “pretty magical.”
“Listen, I have this personality, and I think Chris and I bonded because we both had a sense of humor, a sense of play, a sense of risk, and a sense of ‘I love you, I’m safe, I’m going to take you down,’ and that’s where the trust was built,” Hargitay said.
The series, created by Dick Wolf, began in 1999 as a spinoff of the original Law & Order and is currently in its 27th season.
“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” airs Thursdays at 9pm ET on NBC.
