Christine Cavalari’s ex-husband Jay Cutler has begun a four-day DUI sentence at the Tennessee prison.
The former Chicago Bears quarterback arrived at the Williamson County Jail in Franklin, Tennessee around 8am Monday, according to records obtained by TMZ.
Cutler will remain behind the bar until Friday.
Last month, the former NFL star, 42, was sentenced to prison after attacking a plea deal in a DUI and gun possession case since October 2024.
At the time, Cutler pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI while prosecutors dismissed his possession of a weapon when the gun was confiscated.
In addition to his prison time, he was fined $350 and his license was revoked. He also needs to take supervised probation for a year and submit regular and random drug tests.
The former Denver Broncos star was arrested in Franklin last October last October for DUI, possession of a gun, failure to exercise and violation of the implicit consent law.
After the incident, the Franklin Police Department was told Page 6 that Cutler had been trying to escape from the scene before authorities arrived.
According to police reports, he offered to pay the driver $2,000 if he didn’t call police.
Officials claimed Cutler was visibly drunk and found two firearms, including pistols loaded with athletes’ white ram trucks.
After Cutler learned of his verdict, the driver involved in the crash, identified as Perry Lee, filed a lawsuit seeking “loss of loss of life as a direct and leading consequence of the conflict” seeking unspecified compensation for unexpected medical expenses, “physical and mental distress.”
Cavallari, 38, later worked on her case on her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast.
“Of course, Jay only hopes for the best. I hope he gets the help he needs, but that’s the only thing I can say publicly about it,” she said in October 2024.
The exes announced their split in 2020, and their divorce was finalised two years later.
“Laguna Beach” alumni and Cutler share three children: Camden, 13, Jackson, 11, Saylor, 9.
