Christina Huck is moving forward with a little more baggage and a wealth of life lessons that she will not soon forget.
“I haven’t seen it since the beginning, especially the fourth time. It makes me want to shrink,” the HGTV star, 42, tells people in this week’s cover story, which bouncing off from her third divorce from her husband Josh Hall this week. “It feels like a fresh start, whether I’m actually in control of my destiny, and it really feels good.”
With a support system including her first and second husband, Tarek El Musa, 44 and 46, Tarek’s wife Heather Ray, 38, and a new boyfriend, the flip-off star is present in her hit show, the crekaté of her new champagne line, and is present in her three children.
“I’m not going to say I have it all together,” she admits. “I’m still learning. I’m still a work in progress. And I’m grateful for my mistake.”

With filming for season 2 of this week’s flip-off, Hark’s life was no different than Season 1.
In May 2024, HGTV announced a new series in which Hark and her then-husband Hall face off in a house flipping showdown between Tarek and Heather.

“To be honest, I didn’t want to film the show with Josh,” the designer admits. “We haven’t got along well for a long time, and I haven’t talked about weeks like in years. The network knew I didn’t want to. I even told Tarek I didn’t want to. He joked, “Whatever.
After all, Tarek’s estimates were not too far.
Their split was documented in the series premiere aired in January 2025. This saw fans move when surprised and moved, moving fans in anticipation of a refreshing renovation show, instead between Tarek and Christina, allowing each other “100%” and “100%” eight years after the end of their marriage.

“I’m really good at letting go of the past, too, Tarek. We’ve been talking over the years. We’ve apologised to each other, but not on camera, and it’s not,” she says. “Everyone was crying. Camera operators, production crew. It was emotional.”
For viewers who have seen Haack and Tarek since their HGTV debut in 2013, the evolution of The Wheotion was an unexpected transformation from the tragic 2016 incident in which Tarek ran away from his family home with a gun to a loving family.

Perhaps so is Hark’s intimate friendship with Tarek’s second wife, Heather. The woman stabbed her head early, but after being caught by paparazzi after being confronted in a child’s soccer game, they called for a truce, Huck says. Filming the show together was only sealing their bond.
“We text each other. We go to dinner by ourselves. We go to dinner with the kids. We’re kind of like a girlfriend right now,” she says. The family also spends holidays and holidays together. They recently returned from an adult-only trip to Las Vegas for Hark’s 42nd birthday.
Flip-off also led to an even more unlikely reconciliation between Hark and her second husband, Ansted. exe got married in December 2018, but was split up in less than two years. A fierce custody battle over Hudson continued, leaving them in ice language for years. However, after Hark’s divorce from Hall reaches Unstead, he expands the branch of olives, and now the pair is working peacefully with the girlfriend of four-year-old Rene Zelweger.

“When Josh and I split up, Ali and I were immediately hearts and hearts and he said, ‘I want to collaborate with you and Tarek.’ “That’s great. We go to the soccer game. We sit next to each other at school. And thank God, because even though we grow up, Hudson didn’t have them with us.”
“The relationship with everyone has improved (after splitting from the hall) and we have a great appreciation for each other,” including her new boyfriend, CEO Chris Larocca, CEO Chris Larocca, who has 52 CEOs dating for a year, and Heather’s toddler son Tristan. “I think my kids love knowing that everyone can come here. That’s not odd at all. That’s great.”

One of the major lessons she has taken away from last year is her shift in perspective on relationship milestones.
“We don’t even discuss getting married. We don’t discuss getting engaged,” she says with a laugh of La Rocca. “We’re slowing things down. I promise. We’re not giving birth to children together. We’re not in a hurry. We don’t have a timeline. He’s a very busy person. He has his own life, his own friends, his own career, and he’s practical.”

From a string of whirlwind romances to finding a new appreciation for the “cold” in the messiness of life, it was a major adjustment for the stars. “I used to be obsessed with the future and what it would look like,” she admitted.
