Chris Noth has once again thrown his former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker into the shadows as their feud continues.
The former Mr. Big told the Daily Mail on Wednesday that he was “very lucky” that his iconic character was killed off at the beginning of the December 2021 Sex and the City sequel series, And Just Like That.
While attending the Blue Jacket Fashion Show in New York City, the actor said with a laugh that he feels glad he wasn’t featured more prominently in the series, which was widely criticized by fans before it ended last year.
A week after North, 71, was fired from the series, he faced allegations of sexual assault, which he vehemently denies.
Parker and co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis released a joint statement at the time, saying, “We are deeply saddened to hear of the allegations against Chris Noth. We stand with the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know this is an extremely difficult thing to do, and we commend them for their work.”
When the outlet asked North if he had anything to say about the rift, he replied, “No,” adding, “It’s over.”
The actor was also seen spending time with Mario Cantone, who played Anthony Marentino in both series. Canton told the magazine that there was “no tension” with North and that she was “happy to meet him” at the fashion show.
The actor said of the feud, “All I know is I know what I’m going through. I loved watching him.”
North told the outlet that he has been in contact with John Corbett, who played Aidan Shaw, and had wished Kim Cattrall a happy birthday “a few months ago” during a rift between her and Parker.
A representative for Parker did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
North previously took to social media last month to harshly diss the Hocus Pocus star, 60, by sharing a photo of him working out and captioning it: “Happy New Year – let’s go!!!”
In the comment thread, a fan asked, “You mean SJP and her awards, right? (LOL),” to which North replied, “That’s right.”
He responded to the comments in an Instagram post in mid-January. “Looks like my wild and slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet has caused a huge uproar in the teapot,” he wrote alongside a portrait of himself. “That’s not news.”
Mr. North then claimed during an appearance on the podcast “Kara Meyer Robinson Famous” in January that Mr. Parker did not contact him before issuing a public statement supporting his accusers.
“The statement they put out was really nothing but brand management, but I don’t know. It was sad, it was unfortunate, it was surprising,” North said, adding, “You need to call me and get my opinion. You’ve known me for years, we’ve worked (together) for years.”
“I get it, it’s more Hollywood than Hollywood. But before you make that statement, you should know me, you should have known me for years, so give me a call so I can give you the real scoop on this. And it didn’t happen, and that was too bad.”
Noss also said, “If it had been the other way around, I wouldn’t have done it.”
“It hurt and it really affected everything,” he explained.
