Some of the hottest Oscar nominees are set to join the star-studded lineup at the Berlin Film Festival this month, making a pit stop there on their way to Los Angeles.
Those confirmed to be attending include “Hamnet” director Chloé Zhao, who will be presenting an award at the festival, and Best Actor nominee Ethan Hawke, who will be in Berlin for his first starring role in the historical drama “The Weight,” co-starring Russell Crowe.
Other names set to grace the festival are Sophie Okonedo, Bella Ramsay, Callum Turner, Sandra Hüller, Juliette Binoche, Isabelle Huppert, Amanda Seyfried, Sam Riley, Rupert Grint and James Norton.
Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan will also be there to perform their upcoming film Josephine, Binoche will support Queen at Sea with Tom Courtenay and Florence Hunt, and Huppert will bring Blood Countess. Ramsay will be supporting “Sunny Dancer” with co-star Neil Patrick Harris, and the cast of “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die” will also be in attendance, including Sam Rockwell, Juno Temple, Zazie Beetz and Haley Lu Richardson.
At the opening gala, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh will be presented with the Golden Bear by Sean Baker, and Chao will award the Berlinale Camera to “Hamnet” composer Max Richter.
Wim Wenders will also be attending as head of the Berlinale jury.
