NBC has set up a crossover event for three series in its “One Chicago” series: “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med” and “Chicago PD.”
On March 4, the “One Chicago” series will air back-to-back episodes that follow one storyline. NBC typically airs “Chicago Med” on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., followed by “Chicago Fire” at 9 p.m. and “Chicago PD” at 10 p.m., but the lineup will start with the crossover “Chicago Fire,” with “Chicago Med” airing second and “Chicago PD” airing last of the night.
The crossover’s logline reads, “Fire Department 51 is called to the airfield when a passenger plane suddenly goes silent mid-air, creating a high-stakes emergency. Their discovery uncovers a much bigger and scarier mystery, with consequences that could ripple far beyond the runway and endanger countless lives.”
The last One Chicago crossover event was in January 2025, when NBC aired an episode of each series about a gas explosion in a high-rise building that trapped 40 people underground. Prior to that, the three shows hadn’t crossed over since 2019’s Infection, which depicted a flesh-eating disease spreading through a city.
Universal Television is producing One Chicago in association with Wolf Entertainment. Dick Wolf is executive producing all three series alongside Peter Jankowski. Executive producers on Chicago Fire also include Andrea Newman, Reza Tabrizzi and Matt Whitney. Allen MacDonald and Stephen Hootstein will serve as executive producers on “Chicago Med.” Gwen Sigan, Chad Saxton, Gavin Harris and Jason Beghe executive produce ‘Chicago P.D.’
