Chase Chrisley took a big step.
Chrisleys: Back to Reality Season Finale episode, the 29-year-old founder of Gold Drop, aired on Tuesday, September 16th, has been revealed to have checked into a rehabilitation facility amid ongoing struggle with alcohol. The revelation comes after Chase announced his drinking earlier this year.
“There’s a lot of emotion,” Chase said while on the plane. “I just need to deal with a lot of the trauma I buried.”
“I just thought I could fill it up, I could fill it up, I could fill it up,” he continued. “I have to find myself.”

Chase’s dad, Todd Chrisley, was by his side for the trip. The 57-year-old Chrisley family head gave his son words of encouragement about the decision he made, saying that today he was marked as a “new beginning.”
“My life story isn’t that I went to jail for 28 months. The story of your life doesn’t have to be that I have alcohol and substance abuse issues,” Todd said. “It’s not about your life. It’s part. It’s a chapter.”

“You know, I thought I’d go through this with (my eldest son) Kyle (Chrisley),” Todd said. “But it may have been preparation for what I’m going through today. I’m sad and I’m leaving what I had to take my son to rehabilitate.
“We have gone through a lot, but I really believe God hasn’t brought us this far to take this down.
After leaving the treatment facility, Chase and his sister Savannah Chrisley meet up on Zoom and have a candid mind amidst the ongoing tension. Chase began by apologizing to the 28-year-old unlocked podcaster, saying, “I could have definitely shown more for you.” But saying “I’m sorry about the blanket” was “tough” for Savannah. Because she hoped they wouldn’t actually “get to the same place we went because we could talk about it.”

“I’m proud of you. I’m grateful for the steps you took and the things you carried because I was confused. I didn’t want to deal with it myself.”
“All I can do is still show up for you in the future, because I can’t go back and change anything. But sorry, Savannah. And I love you,” Chase continued.
“I love you, and if you need me I’m here,” Savannah replied when Chase replied, “You and I know. So this is the beginning of a new chapter.”
“I am proud to have taken the steps you took, and if you fell into yourself and got them to work for it, you had so many possibilities at all times.

By the end of the episode, Chase noted that “I’ve learned to take nothing for granted.”
“I’ve learned that money is the only thing that can’t be bought back, so I’m not going to waste discussions of small, small things that aren’t very important at the end of the day,” he added. “And that family is really everything you got.”
