Charlie Hannham remains “Monster,” and the British actor is currently in talks to star in the fourth season of Netflix’s Ryan Murphy anthology series.
As previously announced, “Monster” Season 4 will focus on the case of Lizzie Borden. Sources say Hannam will play Lizzie’s father, Andrew Jackson Borden. Ella Beatty will play Lizzie, Rebecca Hall will play Lizzie’s stepmother Abby, and Vicki Creeps will play Bridget Salvan, the maid of the Borden family.
A Netflix representative declined to comment.
Hunnam recently completed filming for “Monster” season 3. There, they play the infamous serial killer Edgain. He is best known for appearing in the popular FX Outlaw biker drama “Sons of Anarchy” and playing Jackson “Jax” Terror in seven seasons. He also appeared in the adaptation of the Apple series book “Shantaram”, but his other television credits include “Undeclared” and “Queer as Folk.” His film credits include “Pacific Rim,” “The Gentleman,” “The True History of the Kelly Gang,” “The Rebellion Moon – Part 1: Child of Fire,” and “The Lost City of Z.” Hunnam also plays a major role in the upcoming Amazon Crime Drama “Criminal.”

Lizzie Borden lived in Massachusetts in the late 1800s. In 1892 she was accused of murdering both her father and stepmother in a shared home with x. Although Borden was eventually acquitted of the crime, the brutal nature of the murder attracted national attention and contributed to Borden’s position in popular culture.
This case is the subject of numerous adaptations across a variety of media. Recent examples include the Lizzie Borden Chronicle television series starring Christina Rich and the film Lizzie starring Chloe Sevigny and Kristen Stewart.
“Monster” originally debuted on Netflix in 2022 and was welcomed by creators Murphy and Ian Brennan. The first season received extensive acclaim, particularly for his performances of Evan Peters as Jeffrey Dahmer and Neesy Nash as Glenda Cleveland. Peters won the Golden Globes for the show, while Nash won the Emmy. It is currently ranked as the fourth most watched television season in Netflix history. Season 2 debuted in September 2024, telling the story of the Menendez brothers.
