Charli XCX brought a sophisticated leather look to the Grammy Awards stage on Sunday.
She presented the award for Best Pop Solo Performance.
The star attended the premieres of The Moment and Wuthering Heights (for which he provided the soundtrack) earlier this week.
Charli XCX has had a busy week with the premieres of Wuthering Heights and her film The Moment. And now she’s back in the spotlight as a presenter at tonight’s Grammy Awards. The star departed from her Brat days and donned a more severe goth look, wearing a black leather vest top and matching Chrome Hearts pencil skirt, and strutted on stage in black stiletto heels.
She accessorized with layered necklaces and a black belt that featured a giant silver buckle.
Charlie tonight presented the award for Best Pop Solo Performance to Laura Young, who is set to release her next album, which doubles as the Wuthering Heights soundtrack, on February 13th.
Ahead of the Grammys, Charli spoke to ELLE about what drew her to this project and how she’s ready to share it with the world.
“The director, Emerald Fennell, sent me the script,” she recalls. “It was late 2024. She wanted to know if I wanted to write a song. I said, ‘Let me read it. Let me know what you think.[The film]is her interpretation of a classic novel. I really enjoyed the script and just felt inspired. At the time, I was in London reading a book. It was winter and cold and it was 4 p.m. I had been listening to a lot of John Cale, so I thought this was the perfect project for me to explore that route. We finished it in Paris last year.”
