Charli XCX appears in a new interview with Quenlyn Blackwell.
The Brats singer revealed that he is considering “quitting” music.
Charlie is interested in continuing acting.
On a recent episode of Quenlyn Blackwell’s “Feeding the Hungry Celebs” series, Brat singer Charli XCX made a surprising comment about her career in the music industry. “She’s thinking of quitting the music industry.”
During the interview, Blackwell asked if Charlie “wanted to do more acting”, to which she replied, “Yes, are you kidding? I want to quit music and become an actress.”
Mr. Blackwell jokingly replied: “Is there anything else to do?”
Charlie appeared in the recent mockumentary The Moment. Her most recent musical project was creating the soundtrack for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights. She also has several songs on the soundtrack for the upcoming film Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel.
The star expanded on another idea he had for the film, which he first shared on TikTok in May. The concept of the horror movie is “it-girl Final Destination.”
“We’ll be killed by machines or something like that,” she told Blackwell. “And if it was an It Girl thing, I feel like all the deaths would happen on the runway. I’d probably die somewhere like a rave, you know what I mean?”
Charlie is also the executive music producer for the Prime Video series Overcompensating, starring comedian Benito Skinner. She jumped in to appear on the show’s first season. According to Deadline, she will also star in Greg Araki’s I Want Your Sex.
And in July 2024, in a Billboard profile, Charli said she was going to Poland and “write a movie there.”
“Well, I don’t really know if I should say it, because I don’t even know if we’re going to do it,” she added. “We might actually just go to Poland without doing that, but that’s the idea.”
