In a new interview, Channing Tatum gave rare insights into her divorce from Jenna Dewan, including how she influenced her now 12-year-old daughter, Everly.
“It’s the past, but it’s really hard not to let your daughter have half the time,” the “Step Up” star told variety, discussing how it relates to the latest film roles and how it personally relates.
“I wish I had her all the time.”
In his upcoming film, “Roofman,” Tatum portrays Jeffrey Manchester.
“Dear John” star, 45, was finalised to divorce 44-year-old Dewan in September 2024. They agreed to Everly’s joint legal and physical custody and to meet personally with the judge in the event of a dispute over child support.
However, the legal matters took six years to end, partly due to the exes controversy over Tatum’s “Magic Mike” profits, which he began making money while he was still married.
“Jenna and I are fine now, but it was a painful break that was falling apart.
“We kept it together and tried for a year and a half, but we knew it wasn’t going into everything.”
Tatum also said, “I don’t care how you grew up! I think everyone needs treatment,” sharing with the publication how easy instrument therapy was for him.
However, both previous “Step Up” co-stars moved romantically after the split.
Tatum dated Zoë Kravitz for three years, but the pair got engaged before they broke up last year.
The star of “Blink Twice” is currently on a date with model Inka Williams and has recently become Instagram-Official.
Dewan has been engaged to Steve Kazee since 2020. They share two children: Son Callum, 5, and daughter Rhiannon, 1.
