Michelin star French chef Daniel Bouleaude celebrated his 70th birthday.
Al Roker, Jean Georges Vongelichten and Jason Wu were just some of the notable faces at a private celebration held in New York City on Saturday night.
I heard that the dream of Daniel’s wife, Katherine Gage Bouleaude and Sebastian Silvestri, CEO of the Dinex Group, was unfolded at Le Jardin Sur Madison in Flairon. It is also said that he signed up celebrity party planner Bronson Vanwick to take the surprise off.
Daniel’s actual 70th birthday was March 25th, but it is said that spring was too busy for him, and this weekend’s party was held.
The room was decorated to look like a huge, large top tent, and Daniel was dressed in the theme as the ringmaster. He later received a change of outfit and stepped into a silver zebra striped tuxedo.
“Everyone was dressed in the nines in the circus outfit. It felt like a party at Couture Fashion Week. The look of a fully tailored ringmaster, tightrope walk and clown,” our source shared.
I heard that Daniel’s vast culinary career has been recognized at a separate food station for each of his prestigious fine dining restaurants, from his eponymous fine dining restaurants, to his beloved New York City establishments such as Lattede, Maison Burns and Joj.
The menu included strip steak and prime ribs, hot mushroom soup shooter, ratatouille tayan, summer squash risotto, salmon with grilled figs and fennel, chobster (lobster stuffed in roast chicken), attached nigiri, solex kavia, secretly whipped slim, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, Robusy, attached nigiri, nigiri, Solex kavia, snuckle, sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniffed sniff
“In the middle of the celebration, the lights went down and guests were called to the stage when Katherine appeared alongside 10 backup circus performers and (she) won ‘The Greatest Show’ on the belt,” the source shared with reference to the song from the 2017 hit film, “The Greatest Showman.”
“She looks like Taylor Swift, with a change of outfit and a pop star headset microphone,” the insider added.
The crowd was told that she was “into the wild,” and her husband rushed to the stage to give her a big hug.
Guests were then treated to a huge circus-themed seven-layer cake topped with sparklers, custom designed by the team of “Cake Boss” star Buddy Varastro and Carlo’s bakery Baker.
The decadent desserts served at the end of the evening included a small 4 from Blue Box Cafe, Mixed Berry Cheesecake, Peach and Verbena Entremet, Devil’s Food Cake, Cloak Embuchery, Macaron Tower, Pistachiom Serine, Vanilla Bean Patry Cream and Raspberry Guerre honey biscuits.
Other celebrities attendees include Deborah Roberts and SL Green CEO Mark Holiday, as well as celebrity chefs Thomas Keller, Wolfgang Pak, Stefano They, Min Zai, Jack Torres, Dominic Ansel, Jerome Bocco, Dominic Clen and Mawa McKeane.
