Michael Douglas accepts life as the Nestor of the Sky after all!
In 2021, the actor and wife, Katherine Zeta Jones, lived alone for the first time in years after her daughter, Carries (now 22), graduated from high school and prepared to attend Brown University.
“That’s scary. It’s really true,” the 80-year-old Douglas explained that at the time, on today’s show, he didn’t know how he and Zeta Jones would react to having a home for himself.
However, on Thursday, September 4th, he made his appearance at midnight with 55-year-old Zeta Jones’s Seth Myers reveal that being an empty nest is in fact a joy for them.
The Wednesday star recalled people having a “Dameom Doom” response to learn that her kids have moved. However, she confirmed that she and Douglas are actually “thriving” and “having a great time.”

Speaking about her first moments in living alone, she shared her initial concern: “It’s like ‘What’s going to happen.’ Ah, you look at your husband and say, “Do you remember me?” No! ”
“We’re fine, and the coolest ones are our kids. We’re 25 and 22 now (22) hanging with us. That’s the best,” she continued, jokingly adding.

In 2021, Douglas said he didn’t know how to satisfy the silence when he and his wife were just two for nearly 25 years.
“You forget what conversation you’re hiding in terms of talking about your child, and then this and this, and that’s just you’re looking at each other…we’re now 20 years so all good years that pay attention to each other is rewarding now,” he explained.

Curries recently began celebrating another big moment with their kids when Carries graduated from college this May.
“We are both very proud parents now!! It just started!!” Zeta-Jones captioned the Instagram post. This featured a photo of her and Douglas kissing her daughter on the cheek.
Carries earned a degree in film and international relations. Dylan is also a brown alumni and graduated from Ivy League school in 2022.
He has since followed in the footsteps of his parents and lined up his acting career. It was announced in March that he had won a debut-led role in the thriller where I come to you.

Meanwhile, Zeta Jones was able to talk more about being a mother during her late-night appearance.
The Oscar winner revealed that Dylan and Carries spent the summer visiting her family in the summer. However, this time it was a little different.
“FYI: My kids aren’t kids anymore. They’re growing up,” she told host Seth Myers, adding, “They ‘love’ repeated trips.”

Her children’s excitement about visiting Wales makes sense for Zeta Jones. “It’s important to have Welsh roots and I think we want to protect them all the time,” Zeta Jones said.
The actress also portrayed a comparison of her on-screen relationship with the prestigious Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) with the patriarch of the Adams family, Morticia, and her own real bond with Carrie.
“I didn’t have a controversial relationship (with Carrie) like Morticia did on Wednesday. But the role was reversed a bit. I gave her the secondary eye. “It’s become like a meme.”
