Catherine Zeta-Jones’ daughter, Carys Zeta Douglas, looks more like her mother than ever.
The 22-year-old, who appeared on the red carpet at the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala with her dad Michael Douglas on Tuesday night, rummaged through her stylish mom’s closet and reached for pieces that are almost as old as she is.
Opting for a black lace slip dress that featured embellished details and a midi length, Douglas looked exactly like Zeta-Jones’ mini-me in the dress she first wore to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2005. Douglas was born two years ago on April 20, 2003.
It’s the same dress Keira Knightley wore to the world premiere of King Arthur in June 2004.
Zeta-Jones chose to style her look with embellished heeled sandals, a diamond drop necklace, and diamond hoops, while her daughter opted for classic black pumps and colorful statement earrings.
This isn’t the first time Douglas has raided his stylish mom’s closet for an attention-grabbing look. She celebrated her 21st birthday at the 1999 MTV Movie Awards in an embellished pink Ungaro dress worn by her mother.
The recent Brown University graduate revealed her love for vintage clothing to People magazine, saying, “I feel like I love vintage clothing. I don’t really buy it. I’m not really into fast fashion for sustainability reasons.” She added, “I feel very lucky to have a great closet to choose from.”
“She was like, ‘Is that my bag?'” she said with a laugh, admitting that sometimes she borrows too much, “a little too much.” I’m like, “I don’t know.” I don’t think so…”
But if we had a closet like her mother’s, we’d probably shop just as often.
