The official trailer for ‘The Second Time Around’, Jack Howard’s Oscar- and BAFTA-qualified short film ‘Schindler’s List’ lead Caroline Goodall, has been released.
The trailer opens on a rainy night, with Goodall’s character approaching a diner as an employee, played by “This City Belongs to Us” and “Jay Kelly” actor Hannah Onslow. “This is the first time I’ve been back here since,” Goodall says in an ominous voiceover. “And I’ve been thinking about it and wanted to do it for a while. I just didn’t think I could.
“The Second Time Around” follows a waitress (Onslow) who is “confronted by a mysterious older woman (Goodall) while closing up a cafe.” “At its core, this film is an intimate, time-bending story about love, grief, and the weight of moments we don’t yet realize come to define us.”
The Short, in partnership with LGBTQ+ Charity Mindout, won best science fiction at the Hollyshorts Film Festival in August and won the grand prize at London’s Ealing Film Festival. It will be broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK this autumn as a finalist for Best British Film at the IRIS Awards LGBTQ+ Film Festival, in association with Film4. After its debut, ‘The Seventime Around’ will be available to stream on Channel 4’s website for one year.
“The Second Time Around” is produced by Ash Horne and Max Marlow with support from 42 in association with Marlow Productions, Dull Boy Pictures and Two Magpies Entertainment.
