It’s not just the legal battle with Blake Lively that’s causing a stir.
As Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni continues to make headlines, she was spotted surfing during her birthday trip to Costa Rica.
The “It Ends with Us” director looked in high spirits for a beach day with his family on Sunday, the day after his 42nd birthday, according to photos obtained by Page Six.
Baldoni was seen smiling and laughing with his wife, Emily, and their two children, Mya Grace, 10, and Maxwell Roland Samuel, 8.
At one point, Baldoni gently hugged his wife and son while looking out at the beautiful ocean.
In another moment, the “Jane the Virgin” alum was seen opening a drink.
Baldoni spent the day surfing in the salty waves. He was photographed balancing on a surfboard and skimming the current.
The actor wore geometric patterned board shorts and went shirtless to show off his tanned and toned abs.
He also wore two chain necklaces and protected his head with a surf helmet.
Earlier in the day, Baldoni was seen riding a red ATV wearing a black muscle T-shirt.
Baldoni’s beach day excursion comes just days after a trove of text messages were made public in unsealed documents in her 2024 lawsuit with Lively, who accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her on the set of a movie.
In one conversation, Baldoni allegedly alluded to rape while promoting the film, and was called an “idiot” by a studio executive.
In another conversation between Lively and Taylor Swift, Lively called Baldoni a “bitch” with a “little violin.”
The pop star also told Lively, 38, in a candid exchange that she’s noticed a “change” in their relationship since the Gossip Girl star’s feud with Baldoni came to light.
“I feel terrible being critical in any way about how I handle what I’ve been through, but I kind of miss my funny, dark, normally speaking friends who talked to me like I was myself,” Swift told Lively, who eventually apologized.
Swift, 36, is said to be furious over the leaked texts, with a source telling Us Weekly: “Honestly, it’s been really difficult for Taylor.”
“With her text messages out in the world, she felt exposed and kind of violated, like her private life suddenly wasn’t hers anymore,” the source said. “That’s something she doesn’t like.”
Lively’s lawsuit is still ongoing, but a $400 counterclaim accusing Baldoni of defamation was dismissed last June.
