Candace Cameron Bure has revealed that the thought of God watching her have sex makes her uncomfortable.
The “Full House” alum, 49, shared some surprising information while discussing purity with “Bachelor” alum Maddie Prewett.
“You know, I’m still a little bit, but I feel like God is watching me have sex and making me weird, okay?” she said with a laugh on the March 3 episode of her eponymous podcast.
Candace, who has been married to her husband Valerie Bure since 1996 and has three children with her, pointed out that her growth had something to do with it.
“It completely depends on your upbringing, your past experiences, what you were taught as a child, all of that,” she said. “Again, I’m almost 50 years old, and sometimes I can’t get the thoughts of my adolescence out of my head, or I can’t get the thoughts of my high school days out of my head.”
“I’m looking at it now and giggling because I don’t want to think that God is watching me have sex,” she continued. “But in that sense, it’s very comfortable.”
“I have three kids in their 20s, so I’ve done a lot of parenting over the years and had a lot of conversations in this area,” she explained.
Candice said she doesn’t shy away from the topic of sex with her children – Natasha, 27, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 24.
She has been vocal about her Christian faith, and in January she featured Prewett, who is also vocal about her faith, on her podcast. During the episode, Candace candidly opened up about how her marriage to Valerie was in a “really bad place” ahead of their 30th wedding anniversary.
“I know that in times of depression like that, I can’t say I’m depressed, but it can feel like I’m sitting at the shallow end of a valley,” she said.
“It’s like, ‘This isn’t the best, but that’s life. Let’s try.'”
“There have been a lot of highs[and]some really low lows,” she admitted.
Back in November 2025, she also reflected on her struggles in her marriage.
“There were times when I was deeply hurt,” she told Us Weekly, but said she and Valerie were able to “build back up.”
“But God is in the business of repair…(God) loves to repair and make all things new, and He certainly does,” she said.
