Candace Cameron Bure has deleted swimsuit photos from her Instagram account with online trolls having physical embarrassment.
If a fan deleted the photo after asking the “Full House” alum, 49, she took her to Instagram Story on Saturday to confirm that she deleted it and explained why. She wore a one-piece swimsuit that she said “not a bikini,” but shared photos since, saying, “sucking up the end of summer and having fun” and “fun.”
“It wasn’t about swimsuits or my body,” she recalled the criticism she received. “But the comments flooded with people discussing my body.”
She added, “It wasn’t worth it. I beat it.”
The actress shared the message on a snapshot of herself enjoying a sunny day in a butter yellow strapless sundress.
Moms of three – once claimed that they hadn’t eaten fast food in 20 years – previously spurred Bodyshermer in 2018. The troll wrote in one of her photos.
She replied, “If your 25-inch waist looks bigger to you… then you’re looking through the changed lens. Go well.”
The actress was open about her past battles between body image and eating disorders. In her 2010 memoir, “Remake Everything,” she purged her hard to manage her weight.
“I had a very unhealthy relationship with foods that turned to bulimia,” she told Entertainment Tonight in 2016.
On an April episode of her eponymous podcast, the actress recalls the “very vivid memories” of fifth and sixth graders who began to feel “very bad” about her body.
She confessed that during her career as a child actress, she tried “all diet plans from age 12” including the nutrition system, weight watcher, and Jenny Craig.
She explained that having a healthy relationship with food and diet was difficult given her suffering from a “history of eating disorders.”
The actress, who speaks up about her Christianity, said she once had “random” dreams related to biblical stories. In the story, a man called Baram mercilessly whips his asses, despite having a mule that worked for him.
She then compared the story to her treatment. “I woke up one morning from this dream and God clearly showed me that I was like Baram,” she said while she was emotional.
“I whipped my body,” she added. “I spoke about it very strictly. ‘What are you doing? Why do you see it like this? Why are you fat? Why can’t you become like all the other bodies?”
